At the turn of September I travelled to the Czech village of Frantoly to take part in the sixth edition of the art symposium organised by the Aleš South Bohemian Gallery, under the curatorship of Dita Pfefer and Miroslav Růžička.
As Dita Pfefer outlined in the invitation, the symposium focused on the reflection of the landscape of the local countryside, its historical specifics and nature scenery. Three other artists participated in the symposium: Rozálie Prokopcová, Nikola Čulík, and Štěpán Blaschko.
After my first walk in the forests of Šumava, I came up with a mini series to express an intimate touch of man in nature, which is not acutely visible. This time connecting line was simple geometry, which appeared accidentally or consciously in this context. This was also the fundamental impulse why I named this diptych Primitive Geometry.
Na prelome septembra a októbra som sa vybral do českej dedinky Frantoly, aby som sa zúčastnil šiesteho ročníka výtvarného sympózia, ktoré organizuje Alšova Jihočeská Galerie pod kurátorským vedením Dity Pfeferovej a Miroslava Růžičku.
Ako v pozvánke napísala Dita Pfefer, sympózium sa zameralo na reflexiu krajiny miestneho vidieka, jej historických špecifík a prírodných scenérií. Spolu so mnou sa ho zúčastnili Rozálie Prokopcová, Nikola Čulík a Štěpán Blaschko.
Po prvej prechádzke po šumavských lesoch ma napadla miniséria, ktorá má vyjadriť intímny dotyk človeka v prírode, ktorý nie je akútne viditeľný. Spojovacou líniou bola tentoraz jednoduchá geometria, ktorá sa v tomto kontexte objavila náhodne alebo vedome. To bol aj základný impulz, prečo som tento diptych nazval Primitívna geometria.
